The Undersecretary of Education, Sofia Zacharaki, spoke about squatting in schools that is increasing every day.

“Occupation is not an answer and it can never be an answer,” Ms. Zacharaki said while speaking with SKAI, estimating that it is a phenomenon that will fade away.

As he said, they have already mobilized and are out of the schools, the education executives together with the school principals and the teachers’ association are discussing with the children about the issues related to school life.

Speaking of what children and parents are asking, he said there are requests to break sections, however this is a problem due to lack of rooms.

“Right now, the financially weakest are affected,” Ms. Zacharaki said.
