The data on young people included in the latest EODY reports on the coronavirus are concerning.
EODY previously announced 262 new cases and 46 deaths in the last twenty-four hours, while at the same time 473 people are fighting their own battle in the ICU. Based on the distribution of cases, after a significant period, Attica and Thessaloniki recorded double-digit cases for the first time.
This action, however, must take into account the relatively limited number of tests (less than 6,000) performed in the last 24 hours due to holidays.

According to today’s report, young people are anything but invulnerable to the coronavirus. Specifically, during the last twenty-four hours, intubated people are fighting the virus. 11 persons (10 men and one woman) old 18 to 39 years. Of the same age group, they have lost their lives to the coronavirus until today 36 persons. This is 0.8% of the total losses, which means approximately one in every hundred dead is under 39 years old.
Typical is the case of the 24- and 28-year-olds from Larissa and Patras who lost their lives this week. Young people (18 to 39 years old) are the 35.6% of the total cases coronavirus.

This age group counts 655 dead (14.4%), while the vast majority of the losses correspond to people over 65 years of age (3,862 deaths, that is, 84.8%).
