A group of Windows 10 users has reportedly encountered a wide range of problems after installing Windows 10 aggregate update KB4549951. Other users report seeing an error message when they try to download and install the important security package, which launched on Tuesday.
In the Microsoft Forum and Comment Center, many users reported that Windows 10 installation issues came back with KB4549951, and this obvious error prevents users from keeping their devices updated.
Despite the issues that updates have caused users, it is still important to make sure you have the latest security updates. Unfortunately this is another update which cannot be installed with general error messages like 0x8007000d, 0x800f081f, 0x80073701 etc.
It is unclear why Windows 10 updates are not yet installed for some users and Microsoft has not yet recognized or documented the issues.
If you’ve already followed the traditional solutions available on the Internet and nothing seems to work to fix the problem with Windows Update, you may want to consider running a clean Windows 10. For a clean install, you need to download ISO images and reinstall Windows 10.
Windows 10 KB4549951 issues
Problems with KB4549951 update include Bluetooth and WiFi connection issues, general connectivity issues, BSOD, poor system performance and even complete system errors for some users. It is important to note that only some users report these issues and that not all are affected for any reason, so if you are lucky or unlucky no one knows.
“I would like to inform you that after installing this update” KB4549951 “my device no longer has a Bluetooth adapter according to Windows (which of course is false since it worked yesterday before installing this update,” one user told us.

There seems to be a compatibility problem between the Bluetooth driver and Windows 10. In this case, you will need to go back to the previous version of Windows and reinstall the driver if it is not.
BSOD
Unfortunately, updating the Microsoft code also causes a “Blue Screen of Death” error on the screen, indicating a complete system shutdown.
One victim wrote that the MSI computer started with BSOD after applying this update.
“I was hit by the famous blue screen (YOUR PACK IS IN PROBLEM AND ΚΑΙ ..) with a different stop code every time,” explained the user.
“I noticed that after installing update KB4549951, I get a BSOD with the error ‘KERNEL MODE HEAP CORRUPTION’ every time I try to do something seemingly heavy for the CPU (watch live streams / conferences, even trying to watch the Event I experimented and noticed that the update apparently was the cause of the BSOD – everything else seems fine, “another disappointed person documented the error.
There’s usually nothing you can do to fix BSOD errors, but users can roll back to an earlier version of Windows if their devices allow it, or they can reinstall Windows 10.
It is worth noting that these issues are widely reported, but they only affect a group of users and not all are affected.
For some users, Windows 10 seems to be a problem with WiFi connection and more.
“After this update, my computer cannot connect to the internet. I can see the wifi adapter in device management and no problems were reported. There are no networks available for connection,” one customer noted another problem with this code update.
“The Windows update I received on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 caused the wi-fi download speed to drop by more than 200 Mbs per second between 0.5 and 6 Mbps,” said another user.
Microsoft says it has no problem with the numerous online complaints on its own forums and in the Feedback Center. If you’ve already downloaded the code update and have had a problem, it’s best to go back to an earlier version of Windows 10.
