In his statements to ANT1, Niki Kerameos identified any extension of the school year, in a few days in June, “to gain days in lifelong learning”, as he said.

For the national exams, he said they are scheduled to run normally in June, but the program and the start date have not yet been announced, while for qualifications he said they will proceed as soon as the “green light” is given. by university exam experts. “Then they will also be done,” he said, while for the promotion exams at Gymnasiums and Lyceums he replied that no decisions have been made.
The minister described self-tests for the new coronavirus as an important tool for the reopening of schools and reported that a significant number of them have been received, while continuing their supply from pharmacies, from which the opening of schools will be judged. “Next week we will meet with specialists to open schools, giving priority to high schools. “There has been talk that pharmacies have done self-tests and we would like the high schools to open next week, that is, from the 12th of the month,” he said.
For the process, he explained that each student will do the self-diagnosis at home and, if it is positive, it will be recorded on the platform and will go to a confirmatory test. If it is negative, you will get a certificate to give to the school. “The first step is to explain the importance of the measure to parents, as was done with the masks. It is an extremely useful tool to reduce the positives, especially the asymptomatic ones ”, he pointed out.
For the legendary vouchers, Ms. Kerameos indicated that the platform for students opens on Monday, in order to apply to renew or acquire technological equipment, while the platform for the submission of applications of suppliers that manufacture, distribute and resell equipment technological, is now open.
