Wild murders in Kallithea: “Gazos”, 60 years old, convicted of murders

A murder occurred early Monday morning in Kallithea, when unidentified individuals shot a 60-year-old man, who was initially transported wounded to Evangelismos, where he ended up a little later.

The data so far, released by CNN Greece police editor Mina Karamitrou, shows that this is a person well known to the authorities. the so-called “Apache”, who was convicted in 1995 and 2002 of murder.

He had also led a hunger strike in a Larissa prison.

He had very good relations with the anti-authoritarian movement, while a year before his release he had been attacked with a piece of glass inside the prison by a detainee.

The Homicide Department and the Kallithea Department are at the scene of the murder.

Who was the “Apache”?

The so-called Apache had served a life sentence for two murders after the execution of death contracts.

He has been around anti-authoritarians since November 2008. when it was discovered that he was a member of the steering committee in the hunger strike of several days of the prisoners in the Trikala and Malandrino uprisings, for his repeated transfers for disciplinary infractions.

His trial in Larissa for his active participation in the uprising in Trikala prisons in 2007 led to street fights between anti-authoritarians and the Police, as soon as his new sentence, to three years in prison, was known.
