Where the hell would you go if you dug a hole where you are? – Newsbeast

Sometimes we have said it for fun, that if you dig a hole in Greece and go through the center of the Earth you will come out in China.

And now the plate comes to life with a map that does just that, showing the opposites, the diametrically opposite points, that is, of all the regions of our planet.

They call it Antipodesmap.com and it is a simple website that does this job. Draw a straight line from the point you enter and it will show you exactly where it ends, mentally passing through the center of the Earth.

The only evil? Since the Earth is covered by so much water, so many places end up in the sea. Greece, its opposite is lost somewhere in Pacific Ocean.

Others, of course, are luckier. Seoul in South Korea, for example, ends directly in Montevideo, Uruguay.

But some Chinese cities also have antipodes in Argentina and Chile. As Spain has New Zealand.

Experiment freely …
