A first relaxation of measures begins today, Saturday April 3, and citizens will now be able to move outside the limits of their municipalities, but always within the regional unit.
Movements by sending an SMS to 13033 and code 6 will be allowed with a vehicle outside the municipality and without a kilometer restriction for personal exercise in an outdoor area. Up to three people are also allowed to exercise together unless it is a family.
However, the use of the mask is still mandatory, while experts urge citizens to respect distances and hygiene rules with good hand washing and the use of antiseptics.
It is noted that the new measure is being implemented as a pilot and is currently valid only for weekends, with the government warning that if we have images of overcrowding, it will lift.
Market opening
As of Monday, April 5, the retail opens, except department stores and malls, by sending an SMS to 13032 and a limit of up to 3 hours for the purchase and return home.
The consumer will buy for a living, while in stores the restriction of 1 customer per 25 m2 will apply, which means that appointments will be made.
What will happen to the self-tests?
The “premiere” of the self-assessments will be on Wednesday, April 7. As announced by the Deputy Minister of Health, Vassilis Kontozamanis, the supply of pharmacies will begin on Wednesday. Thus, at the end of the week the pharmacies will have sufficient quantities.
In the first phase, self-assessments will be available to a) Lyceum students, aged 16 to 18, and b) teachers, while those aged 18 to 64 will follow. The elderly will be the last, since much of this population has already been vaccinated.
What areas are going “deep red” as of today
Today new areas with a very high risk level (bright red) are included following a relevant Commission decision. These areas are:
– Kilkis Regional Unit
– the municipality of Serres
– Konitsa Municipality of the Ioannina Regional Unit
– the municipality of Skyros of the Regional Unit of Evia
– Astypalea Municipality of the Kalymnos Regional Unit
– the municipality of Rhodes of the Rhodes Regional Unit
The very high risk level (bright red) also includes Leros and the municipality of Galatini in the municipality of Askio in the municipality of Voio in the Kozani regional unit, following the expiration of the special regime of additional restrictive measures and the declaration of emergency civil protection.
At the same time, starting today, the Distrato Local Community of the Konitsa municipality and the gypsy settlement of the Perama Local Community of the Ioannina municipality, as well as the Leo Samos Municipal Community.
The following measures apply in these areas:
– Temporary imposition of a restriction on residents’ homes and a 24-hour traffic ban, excluding traffic for health reasons (sms code 1) or catering (sms code 2 – and excluding the period between 18:00 and 06:00 the next) or for work reasons, (for the services that remain open and with the corresponding certificate).
– The movement of residents outside the geographical limits is allowed only for health reasons.
The following measures will also apply:
– Suspension of retail and health stores, with the exception of grocery stores, pharmacies and gas stations. Delivery services are excluded from the suspension of operation until 23:00.
– Suspension of gatherings / public or social events regardless of the public or private space, internal or external.
– Suspension of the operation of public markets.
– Suspension of religious ceremonies, with the exception of funerals with the presence of up to 9 people of first degree kinship (sms code 5) and performance of services, cults, rituals, sacraments and all kinds of religious ceremonies, exclusively by religious ministers and the necessary auxiliary personnel without the presence of other natural persons.
In addition, the following areas remain in the “deep red”: the Attica Region, the Regional Units of Etoloakarnania, Achaia, Viotia, Evia, Fthiotida, Evritania, Argolis, Arcadia, Corinth, Thessaloniki, Chalkidiki, Pellakos, Z. also as the municipality of Kalymnion of the Peripheral Unit of Kalymnos of the South Aegean Region, the municipality of Chios of the Peripheral Unit of Chios of the North Aegean Region, the municipality of Anogia of the Regional Unit of Rethymno and the Municipality of Chania of the Peripheral Unit of Chania of the Region of Chania Unit of Ioannina of the Region of Epirus, the municipality of Katerini of the Regional Unit of Pieria, the municipality of Amphipolis of the Regional Unit of Serres and the municipality of Veria of the Regional Unit of Imathia of the Region of Central Macedonia, the municipality of Skiathos of the Region of the Periphery Region of Thessaly, the municipalities of K. of Astoria and Orestidos of the Regional Unit of Kastoria and the municipality of Grevena of the U Grevena Regional Community of the Western Macedonia Region.
