United States President Donald Trump promised on Friday that he will make a “statement” next week on funding from the World Health Organization (WHO).
“As you know, we are giving you around $ 500 million a year and we will talk about it next week,” Trump said, days after he openly threatened to cut US funds.
“We will have a lot to say,” he said, adding that he was critical of the UN’s handling of the new coronation pandemic, as well as its highly favorable treatment of Beijing.

The Republican president emphasized that the United States is approaching the peak of the infection rate and that the curve of new cases of the virus across the country is normalizing, with the situation in New Orleans, Louisiana, Detroit and Michigan stabilizing.
The death toll from the virus in the United States today has risen to more than 18,100, according to Reuters.
