According to the Turkish Defense Ministry, the meeting of the technical delegations of Greece and Turkey took place in NATO.

According to the same sources “At the meeting, an exchange of points of view took place where measures were discussed to avoid possible interference between military actors.”

The Turkish Defense Ministry states that a new communication is expected in the coming days.

Yesterday, there was a discussion about the Turkish provocation in the NATO Council of Permanent Representatives, which was held at the request of Greece.

The Greek side informed the NATO member states in detail about the illegal and provocative actions of a member of the Alliance to the detriment of the security and cohesion of the Alliance.

According to the information, the Greek side made an extensive presentation of Turkish crime in the Aegean and the Eastern Mediterranean, highlighting the Turkish guilt and the security implications of the southern wing of the Alliance.

Greece, as well as some other allies, also highlighted their commitment to Article 1 of the NATO Charter, which refers to the UN Charter, and in particular to the peaceful settlement of disputes and obligation not to use or threaten violence.

Our country also emphasized the need immediate withdrawal of all Turkish shipsincluding Oruc Reis, from the area of ​​the Greek continental shelf.

According to the same information, Greece stressed that it is always ready for dialogue, based on international law, no threats and blackmail by Turkey and by the only difference between the two sides.

It is recalled that the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, has proposed the creation of a possible de-escalation mechanism.
