War in the Aegean: “I will take you all with me” is Erdogan’s doctrine

Unfortunately, all indications converge on the assessment that sooner or later there will be a conflict between Greece and Turkey in the Aegean. Either by accident or on purpose. The big question is whether this can be prevented. And by whom?

Let’s start from the beginning. The increasing aggression of the Turks, which with mathematical precision will end in conflict, is mainly based on the exploitation of hydrocarbons in the Aegean. As we have rewritten many times or Recep Tayyip Erdogan he is only interested in the “bayoko”, the “para” with what such a thing can mean. And obviously not bragging. He is determined to do whatever he can to get into the “game.” If it doesn’t come back in, it will go to logic “I will fall, but I will take you all with me”. To be precise, it is already moving in this pattern. This is exactly your strategy.

It says it quite clearly, although nobody wants to interpret it correctly: “Either you put me in the hydrocarbon game or no one will work.”

The surprising thing about the whole story is that companies and states (see the major powers Germany, France, USA) interested in gas and oil pipeline extraction, they do not come forward to stop Erdogan.

On the contrary, they let Greece “take the chestnuts out of the fire” and then come with their drills and boats to exploit the hydrocarbons.

Somehow, Greece, to this day, plays the role of “useful idiot”.

Greece, unknown why, was involved in a history from which it is in danger of losing national sovereignty because the great powers that have contracted hydrocarbons in the Aegean, refuse to protect the very project that they requested and undertook.

To be clear: gas, oil and hydrocarbons in general in the Aegean are mortgaged to our creditors from the first memorandum. In practice, this means that the benefits to the Greek state from exploitation will be small.

The companies that accepted the position, mainly French and American, although they initially assured Greece and Cyprus that they would step forward and guarantee peace in the Mediterranean, are completely gone..

At the same time, they involved Greece and Cyprus in incredible adventures at the risk of losing sovereign rights and national sovereignty.

At the same time, we ourselves opened the issue of hydrocarbons in the Eastern Mediterranean without any preparation, without studying the consequences, without sufficient alliances and without strategy.

Greece as it is known does not have any research vessels send to the disputed areas and is forced to mobilize his army.

Why exactly are you mobilizing your army? For French and Americans to get the job. So absurd and paranoid.

We went from a regime of hypnosis for decades to a regime of energy mobility and not for our own interests, but for the interests of others …

In the same way, we are also increasing the pressure for a solution to the Cyprus problem, at a time when the only solution plan is the dissolution of the Cypriot state with a variation of the Annan plan.

Can something like this continue?

Obviously not.

For hydrocarbons to be exploited in the region between Greece, Cyprus and Turkey, the states that have the rights and the companies interested in economic exploitation must agree.

If this is not possible, why should Greece play the role of “useful idiot” on behalf of others?

Here we come to the solution is one:

Keep stocks where the paper pipes are.

End of story.

I’m not saying, if Erdogan is going to take us with him, take us to other things and paint the floor red again, no problem.

But painting it red for our own problems, not for someone else’s business.
