Washington announced sanctions against Ankara on the S-400 on Monday night.
The sanctions are imposed on the chairman of the Turkish Defense Industry Directorate (SSB), Ismail Demir, and three other members of the organization.
They also include a ban on the United States issuing export licenses and authorizations to the SSB.

In a statement, he called on Turkey to resolve the S-400 issue immediately in coordination with the United States, while calling Ankara a valuable ally and important regional partner for the United States. He added that Washington seeks to continue cooperation in the field of defense.

“The United States has made it clear to Turkey, at the highest possible level and on many occasions, that the purchase of the S-400 system would jeopardize the security of US military technology and personnel and provide significant capital to the defense sector. Ankara’s reaction
Righ now was the reaction of the Turkish Foreign Minister, which in a statement stated that it rejects and condemns the sanctions, adding that there is no technical basis for the claim that the S-400 system will endanger NATO’s defense.
