Pennsylvania
At 01:40 Greek time, Biden has a lead of 17,012 votes, or 0.2%, with 96% of the estimated votes counted. In accordance with state law, the vote count is done automatically in the event that the percentage difference is less than or equal to 0.5% of the total votes.
The ballots for Philadelphia, the largest city in the state, and for Allegheny County, where Pittsburgh is located, remain to be counted. The counting process said the head of the state electoral commission could take several days.
Georgia
Biden is ahead of Trump with 4,275 votes at 1:40 AM GMT, with 99% of the votes counted. Trump needs both Pennsylvania and Georgia to win a second term.
Brad Rafensperger, Georgia’s secretary of state, said he expected the difference in the bottom line to be a few thousand votes, leading to an automatic recount. A recount will take place after the certification of the results, which is expected on or before November 20.
Arizona
At 01:00 Greek time, Biden had 49.9% of the votes against Trump’s 48.6%, with an advantage of 38,455 votes, with 94% of the votes estimated.
State officials still have between 250,000 and 270,000 ballots to count and will update again shortly after, Secretary of State Katie Hobbs told CNN.
Nevada
The counting of the majority of the ballots in Clark County, Nevada is expected to be completed by Sunday, an official said last night.
In Clark County, home to the largest city, Las Vegas, 63,000 ballots remain to be counted. Some 63,000 provisional votes will also have to be considered to determine if they are valid. “Temporary voting” is generally used in the United States, among other things, when the voter’s name does not appear on the ballot box, or is misspelled, or the person wishing to vote does not have a document proving their identity. Electoral commissions verify whether the voter has the right to vote and approve or reject the vote accordingly.
North Carolina
Trump leads with 76,623 votes, or 1.4% with 98% counted. State officials have said the final result will not be known until next week.
