United States – Elections: Why are the Democrats smiling? Republican Confession Defeat Movement?

A contrast of emotions between the “camps” of Biden and Trump is evident in the last hours. The Democratic candidate, in a dramatic setback, managed to overtake President Trump in strategically important states that could send him to the White House.

Biden’s campaign associates and allies were more optimistic in public and private conversations, saying they believed they had won Wisconsin, a state led by Trump. And they said they were confident of maintaining an “unmatched advantage” in Michigan, another “key” state in which Biden lagged for hours before surpassing the US president.

Biden’s campaign manager, Jen O’Malley Dillon, told reporters that Biden was “well on his way” to winning the election in the next few hours. “He will be the president of the United States,” Dillon said.

He said Georgia and North Carolina could win. At this stage, in both states, Trump maintains leadership.

Defeat the confession movement?

In the rival “field”, the president’s staff are desperately raising funds for the day after the election, that is, for legal battles against election results, something that Trump himself had envisioned in the run-up to the election, saying his campaign attorneys “will come in and fight.”

The “Trump camp” sent six emails to its supporters asking for money to cover the costs of the appeals, reports CNN. Each of the emails alleges that Democrats are trying to “steal” the election.

President Trump’s staff has informed his allies that he is planning extensive appeals to states where the percentage differences are currently small, including Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

A senior Trump official reportedly admitted that “we are clearly in the corner.” However, both the public and the private comment that nothing is finished yet, since they believe they can “change” the situation in Nevada and Arizona.
