Two soldiers wounded in a paratrooper camp after a shooting

Two hoplites were injured Tuesday morning, at the Parachute Squad camp in Aspropyrgos, when they fired a gun.

The two hoplites were taken to the 401 Military General Hospital, where they were given first aid. Their condition is not a cause for concern, as they suffered minor injuries to their legs.

Specifically, the incident occurred when a hoplite, outside the camp rooms, began to explore his weapon. Unknown why, in the gun a bullet was left in the chamber and fired. The bullet hit the two soldiers, one in the calf (simple abrasion) and then the other in the sole.

The exact circumstances of the incident are being investigated and mainly why a cartridge was left in the soldier’s weapon.
