Turkey continues to fear tensions in both the Aegean and the eastern Mediterranean.
Turkey is increasing tensions in the Aegean and eastern Mediterranean, despite the alleged withdrawal of the Erdogan regime.
As the time for European sanctions on Turkey approaches, the “sultan” on the one hand is trying to convince about the alleged legitimacy of his actions on the Greek continental shelf and at the same time is causing a new NAVTEX in the Aegean.
Its objective, to block the Greek military exercises in Ikaria, Patmos, Samos, Chios, Lemnos and Samothrace, essentially demanding the demilitarization of the islands of the eastern Aegean.
Ankara accuses Athens of violating the Treaty of Lausanne and is illegally demanding the demilitarization of the Greek islands, at a time when, of course, it is deploying thousands of Turkish military personnel along the shores of Asia Minor.
Turkish pressure in both the Aegean and the eastern Mediterranean is part of the blackmail tactics that follow Recep Tayyip Erdogan for some time and in the effort to create them to bring Greece to the negotiating table.
It should be noted that on Saturday Ankara had issued a new NAVTEX in the eastern Mediterranean, for Oruc Reis.
