Turkey is stepping up its provocative behavior, which shows no willingness to calm things down in its relations with Greece. Kanuni is the third privately owned drilling rig in Turkey after Fatih and Yavuz and is destined for Istanbul. 
The position of Oruc Reis
At the same time, shortly after 11pm, the Turkish research vessel Oruc Reis was 35 nautical miles from Kastellorizo and had previously reached the western end of the area bound for the illegal NAVTEX.
