Turkey on Friday denounced as a “product of prejudice” the final declaration of seven leaders of the southern countries of the European Union, who on Thursday warned Ankara to impose sanctions on it for its actions in the eastern Mediterranean.
“The elements contained in the final declaration in relation to the eastern Mediterranean and the Cyprus question are products of prejudice, are not related to reality and lack a legal basis,” said Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman Hami Aksoy , it’s a statement.
According to the Athens News Agency, the Turkish spokesperson also stated that Ankara is still open to talks with Greece unconditionally.
