In a statement, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said the “unacceptable” resolution was adopted by the General Assembly of the European Parliament only for reasons of solidarity among EU member states and serves the “selfish” interests of some states. members.

Turkey’s Foreign Minister emphasizes that neither the European Parliament, nor the EU, nor the member states have the authority to define the borders of third countries. The adoption of such a “biased decision”, despite Turkey’s efforts at all levels, in all EU institutions, is incompatible with goodwill and common sense, the statement concluded.
