A new “blow” for Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is the upcoming ten-day tour of the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, to 7 countries in Europe and the Middle East, during which he will visit, among others, Istanbul, where he has no contacts with Turkish officials.
The tour will run from November 13 to 23, according to an announcement from the State Department.
The tour program, which begins in France, has as a second stop in Istanbul, where it includes unique meeting with the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew and no contacts with Turkish officials.
