Brad Rafensperger, Georgia’s interior minister, said Thursday that a manual recount of votes cast in the state’s Nov. 3 presidential election confirmed a narrow margin victory for Democratic candidate Joe Ba.

The recount was decided because, based on the unofficial results, Biden won by just 14,000 votes behind outgoing Republican President Donald Trump.
Rafensperger added that “there was no doubt” that the state authorities would ratify the result of the elections today.
The tally showed the result “is very close to what we had when we announced the results on election night,” said Rafensperger, who spoke to local television station WSB.
“A thimble”
He described Biden’s victory as marginal, saying the difference was not even a “thimble” of votes.
