Donald Trump today promised “the best” possible financial aid program, but after the presidential elections on November 3, he accused the leader of the Democrats in the House of Representatives of not negotiating in good faith.
“After the elections, we will have the best recovery plan that I have ever seen, because I believe that we will regain control of Parliament,” said the Republican president.
“Nancy Pelosi just wants to save the cities and states from the Democrats who are being mismanaged and flagged for crime,” he added, accusing her of not wanting to “help people.”
The White House resident, who is running for a second term in office, said the talks would continue because he wanted citizens to benefit from this recovery plan.
In late March, when the Covid-19 pandemic swept through the country, with dire economic consequences, Democrats and Republicans agreed to vote on a $ 2.2 trillion aid package in the emergency, which included $ 600 unemployment benefits to the week.
However, this program expired at the end of July.
Since then, negotiations between the two sides for a new support program have reached a stalemate.
