United States President Donald Trump said Monday he could not “imagine why” phone calls to help hotlines on disinfection issues increased after suggesting that citizens inject with them to fight the crown.
“I see the disinfectant kills him (the joker) in a minute. One minute, is there a way to do it with an injection inside or as a cleaner?” Trump told the White House Thursday during a daily briefing on the pandemic.

The next day, after being criticized by scientists, the President of the United States told reporters: “I asked journalists like you an ironic question to see what happens.”
The governors of Michigan and Maryland on Sunday accused the president of increasing the number of such calls.
During yesterday’s press conference given by the US president for covid-19, a journalist noted that the Maryland hotline has received hundreds of calls in recent days from people requesting information on disinfectants after their comments.
“I can’t imagine why,” said Trump. “I can not imagine”.
When asked if he later believed he was responsible for the increased calls, he said no.
The Maryland governor’s office said it had issued a nationwide warning against disinfectant injections following accusations by the President of the United States.
For his part, Reckitt Benckiser, a maker of Lysol and Dettol products, was forced to announce that disinfectants are not “given” to humans.
“Under no circumstances should disinfectants be introduced into the human body (by injection, swallowing, or any other route),” the company said in a statement.
