Tragedy in Eretria: Three killed by electric shock

All three employees are dead, while one of their colleagues is injured. EKAB ambulances and a Chalkida Fire Department vehicle rush to the scene. One of the three workers was found dead on the pillar. According to the information so far, the two dead are Greeks and their third colleague of Albanian origin who lived in a town close to what happened in the tragedy. The accident took place in the town square, where the central pillar was being replaced and the town’s residents became eyewitnesses to the horror. Until now, a special basket truck is expected to transport the body of the column, in which the unfortunate worker was charred.

Shocked, the neighbors desperately called for help, however, according to information from protothema.gr, the death of the three crew members was instantaneous. One of the three was found dead on the pillar and at this moment the Firefighters are trying to free his body, while the other two lay dead on the ground. Eyewitnesses called EKAB and the Fire Department, stating that “One pillar is burning and one is hanging from it!” The EKAB ambulance arrived a few minutes later, but it was already late. In addition to the three dead, there is another worker who is injured and is being transferred to the Chalkida hospital.
