An incredible tragedy occurred at noon on Wednesday (9/12) when three people tragically died in the port of Antiparos when the vehicle in which they were traveling fell into the sea.
At the point of tragedy Coast Guard officers and a professional diver rushed in immediately who aHe dragged three dead vehicle occupants.
The accident occurred when the driver of the car lost control and fell into the port.
As for the victims, they are an elderly couple and their maid.
The elderly couple had a residence on the island, while the unfortunate 75-year-old was a renowned businesswoman from Athens. Together with her husband and the 40-year-old maid, they would travel by plane to Athens. The three, waiting for the ferry from Antiparos to Pounta to pass, started the car, developed great speed, came out with force on a pillar that was there in the port and threw themselves into the sea.
So far it has not been clarified if it is a mechanical damage to the car or a complication in the health of the driver of the fatal vehicle.
The ferry captain who was in port at the time while en route with two people immediately fell into the sea to try to save the three passengers.
In fact, eyewitnesses claim that the driver of the vehicle made no effort to avoid falling into the water.
