Traffic rates 2021 – aade.gr: Traffic rates for 2021 were published on Taxisnet, the amounts remained unchanged while what is pending is their payment deadline.
According to Finance Minister Christos Staikouras, decisions are expected to be made by the end of December.
As of last Friday, their online application was launched. TAXISnet through which the owners of IX cars will be able to pay 2021 road tax.
Citizens can view this year’s notice on the AADE website.
Payment of traffic fees can be done in three different ways:
- With the QR code, which taxpayers can scan, paying the corresponding amount through mobile banking
- With web banking, where payment is made by RF code
- With the payment of the amount in bank branches and Hellenic Post (ELTA)
The AADE advises those obliged to follow this procedure,
avoiding visiting bank branches and the Hellenic Post. However, even citizens who are unfamiliar with the Internet and visit banks to pay can also use the QR code at ATMs.

Questions about road tax
Seven Questions – Answers about traffic rates have been posted on the AADE website (aade.gr):
If I transfer the vehicle within the current year, I owe your registration fees next?
No. The fees must be paid by the holder on day 1
January or until extension, if granted.
I am a co-owner of a vehicle and rate forms have been issued for each VAT number. Do we all have to pay for them?
No. The rates are indivisible and it is sufficient for one of the co-owners to pay them. Yes
unpaid, everyone is co-responsible for the full amount.
The registration number has changed and I have paid the fees before the change. Do I also owe fees to the new number?
Not because the two numbers are related and the payment is valid regardless of whom
the number was made.
When are fees not to be paid?
When the vehicle has been immobilized on a voluntary or compulsory basis before the start of the rate year.
What are the consequences if the road tax is not paid on time?
In addition to the annual traffic fees, a fine is imposed:
- equal to the rates, if the vehicle is a two-wheeler / tricycle. or passenger car
- half of the rates, if the vehicle is a DX passenger or truck or bus.
- 30 euros, if the road tax is less than 30 euros.
Why do I get the message “Incomplete data to calculate rates”?
Depending on the type of vehicle, the rates are calculated on the basis of cubic meters.
