Starting tomorrow, Friday, November 13, the lockdown will be even more “strict” as a new travel restriction will begin from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., with fewer SMS options to leave home.

Specifically, as of Friday night the reasons for the move will be three (work, health problems, walking pets), while the options in SMS will be only two, 1 and 6. Among them is the issue of the use of the car. , but also traveling by car to walk dogs.

As measures against the spread of the coronavirus tighten overnight, this is expected to affect dog owners, who through SMS moved within the limits of legality.

Thus, the pet walk will be carried out exclusively near our house by SMS with code 6. However, it has not been clarified if this also applies to the rest of the day. For example, if an owner can take the dog for a walk (for sport) in the sea or in the mountains. Of course, if the pet needs medical attention during the night, its owners can obviously take it to a vet during the night for first aid, using SMS 1.

Yesterday, the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalias, announced in an extraordinary press conference that the movements will be limited to those absolutely necessary as of Friday, November 13, after 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Citizens, as said Mr. Hardalias, will be able to move during that time strictly and only for reasons of work, health and company of pets from each home and within walking distance of the house.

During this period, it is still necessary to send an SMS to 13033 in case of movement for health reasons (sms with code 1) or companion of pets (sms with code 6), as well as the employee certificate in case of movement for work. So after 9 at night and until 5 in the morning, movement only for work, exceptional health cases (sms with code 1) and a small walk of pets near our house with SMS with code 6 ”.
