Cases today: With the exhaustion of ICUs and the cases of recent days breaking the 3,000 barrier, there is intense concern about the EODY announcements about the course of the pandemic in our country.
The death toll in Greece exceeds 1,000, Well, in the last hours there have already been 20 victims of the deadly virus. Meanwhile, there is fear of a new “black” record for deaths today.
Yesterday, EODY registered 3,038 cases while on Thursday it registered a record with 3,316. Today’s cases, as everything shows, will move to the same levels or a little less, as there will be less testing over the weekend.
When will we see a reduction in cases?
As infectious disease specialists have pointed out many times, to see a reduction in the number of cases, at least 2 weeks must pass after the implementation of the measures.
Today, in fact, speaking with Zarpa Radio, the professor of Genetics, Mr. Manolis Dermitzakis He stated that cases in Greece will start to drop soon and that by mid-December we can reach 300 per day:
“I am optimistic that in three weeks we can go from the 3,000 cases we have now, from 300 to 500. But we will not see this number at the end of November, but we will see it two weeks later, in mid-December. This does not mean that we will open. But whenever we decide to open, it must be coordinated with measures to keep us until March. And there must be a health system that can support the people who will need it. “
