The body of a woman was found Thursday afternoon in a basement apartment in eastern Thessaloniki.
According to information from Thestival, the residents of the apartment building reported to the Police strong stench.
When the police opened the apartment door they saw the body of the unfortunate woman in advanced deterioration.
As it turned out it was the tenant of the apartment, which should be showing signs of life since last Sunday.
The presence of traces of blood on the floor of the house as well as some fallen furniture leave open the possibility of criminal activity.
Police officers from the Crime Against Life Department of Thessaloniki Security are searching the apartment.
