Unsecured and unpaid with certified debts will be retrospectively for a total of € 1.4 billion to be received by 1,100,000 retirees from the public and private sectors in October, as the Minister of Labor told SKAI today Giannis Vroutsis. It should be noted that the amendment presented yesterday to the bill of the Ministry of Finance to combat black money from criminal activities and financing of terrorism provides that public retirees will receive a retroactive amount of 500 million euros for the eleven months 2015- 2016, without waiting for a decision from the Court of Auditors.
He stressed that the amounts will be taxed as normal income for the year and will not be taxed in advance, while he added that those who receive them retroactively will renounce future legal claims.
In the same context, Mr. Vroutsis said that the Ministry of Labor is considering whether they will receive retroactive payments and heirs, something that will be decided on Tuesday, when the corresponding amendment is voted in the Plenary of Parliament.
At the same time, according to Mr Vroutsis, the payment of retroactive widowhood pensions is foreseen by the percentage of the difference (from 50% to 70%) for the period from August 2019 to today, while at the same time Increases in pensions will also be granted.
As for retirees who have completed more than 30 years of work, the Minister of Labor promised that in December hundreds of thousands of retirees will be given 14 months retroactively.
