Thessaloniki: The first fines were imposed for night traffic without the necessary documents

The first fines for night traffic on the streets of Thessaloniki fell, during controls carried out by the city’s police authorities, in the context of the observance of measures to reduce the coronavirus pandemic.

From 12:30 pm to 5:30 am today, when the new measures came into force, as Thessaloniki has entered the “orange” and “level 3” due to the rapid increase in cases , were confirmed by THE GREEK POLICE. A total of 49 infractions and fines were imposed on citizens who traveled after midnight without bringing the necessary documents.

Likewise, from 6 in the morning on Saturday until 6 in this morning, another 127 infractions were confirmed, with a fine of 150 euros, to citizens who did not observe the measure of universal use of masks.
