The private visit of the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Misustin to Mount Athos has ended.
The Russian prime minister entered Mount Athos on Thursday and stayed two nights at the Philotheou monastery. This morning he visited the Agios Panteleimon monastery.
Immediately after he went boating from Mount Athos to Ouranoupolis. Mr. Misoustin delivered a significant amount of sanitary supplies, masks, detergents, disinfectants and other personal protective equipment against the coronavirus. which he brought from Russia, to be distributed according to the needs of Mount Athos.
Before the Russian Prime Minister visits Mount Athos had visited with his wife a convent in a metochi of the monastery of Philotheos in Thasos.
