Comment on the case of “off-duty” vaccination of executives of the municipality of Thessaloniki
Regarding what was revealed by the media and the announcements of the municipality of Thessaloniki about the participation of municipal executives in the “off-duty” vaccines, one thing is certain:
It is necessary, imperative and urgent to have detailed information from the municipal council and citizens about what happened, they are denounced and investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for the previous events in which the president of a public benefit organization (ss syndicalist of DAKE – suspended employee), deputy mayor and president of the municipal council, all ND executives. It is necessary to investigate the case in depth and assign responsibilities, especially when it comes to politicians.
The party affiliation of those involved, in no case absolves similar phenomena with other administrations or municipal governments. It simply confirms the “continuity” of politics and state.
Because the municipality administration with its announcements about the fate of its executives (for a case that the Prosecutor’s Office already occupies for hours), seeks to create the image of a mayor who “takes the head” of each offender, we recall. :
Mayor K. Zervas was the one who until the day before yesterday protected his executives from protests and complaints not only from the Popular Demonstration but also from hundreds of citizens due to the attitude and policy of his executives, of his administration.
The problem is NOT JUST getting heads for the specific case (which is already involved in the judicial investigation) but that its executives (not just the whistleblowers but the entire administration) implement the head of the policy.
We fear that we will unjustly await the change of policy of the municipality that (with a tragic representative Ms. Akritidou) “knocked down” the roof of the school in the municipality, culminating in the planting of sardines in the schoolyards and the dangerous overcrowding of students – teachers. It was and is the policy of the administration.
We fear that we will unfairly await the resumption of the rebroadcasting of the municipal council meetings on municipal television since the mayor’s intention to dominate without contradiction in the public debate is evident.
We fear that we will unfairly expect the change in anti-people policy in the other policy areas of the municipality, where other mayors and deputy executives are in charge.
The facts that are made public are only a part and symptom of the general policy with the aim of degrading citizens and their needs.
It is the result of the (proverbially close) connection of the municipal administration with the government, the search for allies for the formation of a municipal majority even with provocative representatives of the extreme right, which we fear will continue in the search for municipal majorities. , pre-election voting and new and unacceptable electoral law for local authorities promoted by the government.
In each case :
We request immediate and detailed information, investigation, clarification and accountability.
We urge citizens not to fall into the trap of the “cleanliness” image. His needs demand the purification of the municipality, the country, the political life as a whole of the great interests that prevail in his life, in the city, in the municipality. They privatize, deliver steaks to interests (see TIF, beach, etc.), tax citizens, do not even take any measure to protect their health and life, do not claim anything from the central government but are part of it, Implement their anti policy -popular “up the antenna” locally.
