Two cars were set on fire, while strangers caused damage to at least 10 others in the Charilaou area, around the Aris stadium.
The attacks took place immediately after the end of the basketball game between Aris and PAOK, while police forces are combing the surrounding areas to find the perpetrators.
The fire department has rushed to the scene to extinguish the fire caused by the vehicles.
Information from the police investigation found that prior to causing the damage and the raids, there was an episode of fierce believers involving people wearing helmets and brandishing sticks and other sharp objects.
Terrified, the residents of the area, hearing the noises, jumped to their balconies to see what was happening, while the owners of the private vehicles could not believe what they saw.
