The 20 occupations in which the vast majority of employees work are:

  3. general staff,
  4. Waiters

  6. cleaners,
  7. teachers – kindergarten teachers,
  8. truck and bus drivers,
  9. high school teachers,
  10. financial professionals,

  17. machine engineers and repairers,

The SEV study aims to show that the majority of employees are employed in professions where the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) is particularly low.

Specifically 7 of the 20 most employed professions in Greece do not include any digital skills, only 8 have a high emphasis on ICT and the remaining 5 require light digital skills.

“This highlights the overall digital portfolio of companies and employees, but also the limited technological potential,” says SEV.

It also points out The need for an overall digital skills development strategy, with investments, retraining of employees, assuming the role of recycling and certification body for the large companies themselves, strengthening innovation in education and dissemination in companies of the possibilities of technology with sector and regional specialization.
