The new coronavirus epidemic “continues dynamically” and has killed 14,393 people in France, the country’s Directorate-General for Health announced today.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 561 deaths have been reported, of which 315 in hospitals, a significantly reduced number compared to 605 last Monday. It is also the lowest number of hospital deaths in a day since March 29.
For the fourth consecutive day, there has also been a decrease in the number of patients treated in the intensive care unit. Today it is 6,845, or 35 less, “a very slight decrease,” the statement said.
The total number of confirmed hospital cases is 95,403, while in nursing homes and other social and nursing institutions there are 37,188 confirmed or suspected cases.
