The loss of a 37-year-old father of three is shocking. Overwhelmed, his wife spoke to SKAI about losing her man, literally from one moment to the next.
Tassos, 37, had been fighting at the AHEPA hospital for two weeks.
“Suddenly, no one understood, no one expected him. All his friends loved him,” says the victim’s wife, Maria Doulgeridi.
“When he was in the room we talked, we had communication, but as soon as he went to the intubation we had no communication. He had to be intubated, the doctors had told us, because he couldn’t bear the masks, he couldn’t breathe enough. They told me it’s mandatory intubate him, because he is young and has a family. “I told them to do what they could,” he says.
“He did the test and it came back positive. His doctor told us he had to go to the hospital. If he didn’t go to the hospital, he would lose it at my house. We were careful. All the masks, all the gloves. We were careful.

Tassos was on the waiting list for a heart transplant. That was one of the reasons he was very careful.
