The Ministers of Education and Citizen Protection discussed with the rectors today the establishment of a special Protection Group of the University Foundation (OPPI) for the security of the Universities, controlled entry and the strengthening of Criminal Law. A special body is created
A Special Corps of trained police officers is formed under the name of the “University Foundation Protection Team” that will guard the buildings and facilities of the university, will have preliminary investigation functions and will make arrests if crimes are committed.
The policemen of the new Corps, according to information, will be hired after an announcement by the Ministry of Civil Protection, according to the standards of the announcement for the recruitment of 1500 special police guards and the members of the Corps will be assigned by the Ministry of Protection Civil. in universities. Their number will change by University but also by period depending on the needs of the moment.
