The government, through the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Hardalia, announced measures aimed at reducing the pandemic in the Attica region and in the areas that are under special restrictive measures, that is, in Imathia, Kilkis, Pella, Pieria, Halkidiki, Chania. , in Heraklion, Crete, Zakynthos, Lesbos and Mykonos. Thus, from Saturday night to October 4, the operation of any type of retail trade, such as kiosks, mini markets and warehouses, was suspended from 12:00 at night until 5:00 in the morning of the next day. Pharmacies and gas stations are excluded from the measure.
A measure that was considered necessary given that “alcohol brings us closer” as infectious disease specialists say. Yesterday, Saturday, 315 cases were announced in Greece, of which 165 were registered in Attica.
However, our fellow citizens chose to stay in the squares of Athens, where crowds were observed without the necessary precautions and social distances.

However, it is observed that, according to the Government Gazette, companies that commit violations and do not comply with the restrictive measures in Attica will be fined 5,000 euros. At the same time, according to the Official Gazette, regarding the maximum number of participants in public or social events, in case of infringement, fines of 150 euros will be imposed on natural persons, and companies or individuals that organize events, from 3,000 to 5,000 euros and suspension of operation. of activity for 15 calendar days.
