The PPC employee who is allegedly responsible for the torture of animals in Crete has been made available. The Minister of Environment and Energy, Kostis Hatzidakis, asked the Company’s management on Wednesday to immediately address the issue with all the appropriate rigor since, as he points out, such behaviors cannot be tolerated in a modern society.
According to company sources, the president of PPC demanded the immediate initiation of a disciplinary process against the employee who allegedly committed the atrocious act. “Such behavior is absolutely reprehensible. By decision of the president, the specific employee is made available until the disciplinary and criminal investigation of the case is completed.”, reported the same sources.
The incident was reported yesterday by the president of the Panhellenic Environmental Association for Animal Welfare, Natasa Bombolaki, when in an area of Akrotiri, a PPC employee allegedly hung a dog alive and cut off its testicles with scissors.
