The number of new cases dropped to just triple digits in just one day, mostly due to fewer tests conducted over the weekend. So, today EODY announced 1,251 new cases of the new virus in the country, and the total number now stands at 116,721.
It should be noted that 904 new infections were announced yesterday, while approximately 13,000 diagnostic tests. Today they were announced approximately 350 cases above, although the tests performed were even fewer (6,105 molecular, 4,421 rapid, that is, total 10,526).
The number of patients admitted to the ICU intubated continues to be high, since 600, and the pressure on the health system remains intense.

5,007 (4.3%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 31,293 (26.8%) are related to an already known case.
600 of our fellow citizens are being treated by intubation. Their average age is 65. 167 (27.8%) are women and the rest are men. 75.7% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older. 668 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 89 more registered deaths and 3,092 total deaths in the country. 1,237 (40.0%) women and the rest men. The mean age of our deceased fellow citizens was 79 years and 96.2% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
