Intubated is hospitalized Metropolitan of Kastoria Seraphim, who was admitted to the 424 Military Hospital in Thessaloniki, about ten days ago, since he was diagnosed with covid-19. The Metropolitano’s state of health, although initially not inspiring concern, deteriorated on Saturday night and his intubation was deemed necessary.
The Diocese of Kastoria issued an announcement Sunday night:
“Today, Sunday before the Nativity of Christ, the medical team that attends the health of His Eminence the Metropolitan of Kastoria Mr. Seraphim in 424 GSNE, proposed admission of the patient to the ICU, in order to receive a closer follow-up. The humble and meek hierarch needs the prayers of the clergy of all hierarchical ranks, of the monastic fraternities but also of our most revered people. The people of Kastoria, who were so spiritually connected to him, are especially asked to offer prayers and supplications to their good shepherd for his speedy recovery.
