The National Public Health Organization (EODY) announced today 3,209 new laboratory-confirmed cases of covid-19 disease in the country, 29 of which were detected after controls at the country’s gates.
Of the 3209 new cases of coronavirus, as announced by the Minister of Health Vassilis Kikilias, 905 were detected in the Thessaloniki region, 564 in the Attica region, 207 in the Larissa region and 166 in the Pella region.

The total number of cases is 82,034, of which 53.7% are men. 4,714 (5.7%) are considered related to trips from abroad and 20,917 (25.5%) are related to an already known case.
480 patients are treated by intubation. Their average age is 65. 148 (30.8%) are women and the rest are men. 81.0% of intubated patients have an underlying disease or are 70 years or older.
410 patients have been discharged from the ICU.
Finally, we have 60 more deaths registered and 1,288 deaths in total in the country. 523 (40.6%) were women and the rest men. The average age of our dying fellow citizens was 80 years old and 97.4% had an underlying disease and / or were 70 years or older.
