Alarm for the particular increase in cases of coronary arteries registered today by Greece 10-21-2020.
The 865 new cases of the virus in the country are cause for concern, as several areas of the country now have a high epidemiological burden.
Characteristically, the focus of the pandemic remains Attica, which traditionally registers the majority of cases and its total number is now not only much higher than the previous period, but also a record for the region.
Thessaloniki presents an equally burdensome picture with 181 new cases, while 31, 27, 23 and 19 cases were identified in Ioannina, Kozani, Larissa and Serres respectively. At the same time, 41 cases are being investigated.
It is recalled that Kastoria is officially in a mini-confinement (level 4) as previously announced by the Vice Minister of Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias after the meeting of the expert committee of the Ministry of Health, describing the situation as “extremely critical”. The measures will be implemented from Friday, October 23 at 6 in the morning.
At the same time, at level 3, Thessaloniki, Larissa, Serres and Viotia will be updated from Thursday, announced the Deputy Minister of Civil Protection. With regard to Ioannina, they also remain at level 3 and there will be a reassessment of the epidemiological picture. The measures come after the announcement of 865 cases in the country, the highest daily number of cases since the beginning of the epidemic.
