The 52-year-old man who called the police was arrested and said he was allegedly stabbed and robbed in Agios Georgios Square in Kypseli.
It is recalled that after this call, the police immediately arrived at the scene, where they confronted several people sitting in the Agios Georgios square. Initially he asked them to leave because of the crowd, but then a fight broke out between the police and those present. The latter threw bottles at the police and threw chemicals.
Subsequently, 37 arrests were made, five of which became arrests.
When the 52-year-old man was arrested, he admitted to lying to the police that he had been stabbed and robbed in Kypseli Square. Meanwhile, to locate him, a full-scale police operation was established by phone and on the 52-year-old Facebook page. Finally, authorities located the apartment building where he lives and searched the apartments one by one. They called him by name, but he did not want to reveal what his department was and even provoked the police by shouting, “Search all the departments to find me.”
When they finally found him, they arrested him and took him to GADA, he admitted: “I took you because they were bothering me and I wanted you to come and take them out of the plaza.” His claim was not credible, as there are many citizens who have been taking the plunge lately and calling for mass action.
