The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announces to the passenger public the extensions of the air instructions, for national / international flights until Thursday, January 7, 2021 and the new notam for the mandatory precautionary restriction of 3 days for those entering Greece with flights from abroad from Friday, December 18, 2020.

In particular, with the aim of protecting passengers and citizens from the COVID-19 disease, all passengers entering Greek territory during the period between December 18, 2020 and January 7, 2021 from any foreign country , including the United States. members of the European Union, are subject to mandatory precautionary restriction at the domicile or temporary place of residence declared in the PLF form, for three (3) days, unless they remain in Greece for a shorter period, in which case the time restriction applies for this period. period, that is, until your departure.

At the same time, the CAA informs about the extensions of the existing notams, which will be valid until 7/1/21 at midnight for international flights and until 7/1/21 at 06:00 in the morning for domestic flights. .

Extended:

* The aviation directive for domestic flights (scheduled passenger services, general aviation and commercial flights – domestic flights, commercial and general / business aviation), which states that all essential airports in the country only allow essential domestic travel (Essential Travel ) which include travel for health reasons, for business / commercial purposes, for objective family reasons (family reunification) and for return to permanent residence.

* The two air directives regarding the suspension of flights between Greece and Turkey and between Greece and the region of Catalonia in Spain.

* The air directive that stipulates that all flights to and from Greece from Albania and North Macedonia will be operated only on the AIA “Eleftherios Venizelos”.

* The air directive for permanent residents of Israel with a maximum entry of 10,000 travelers per week to all airports in Greece.

* The air directive for Russia (permanent residents), which foresees arrivals only at the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion and a maximum entry of 500 passengers per week in Greece.

* The aviation directive that establishes the prohibition of entry to the country of non-European citizens (non-EU citizens). Citizens and permanent residents of the following 9 countries are excluded from this note: Singapore, Australia, Japan, New Zealand, Rwanda, South Korea, Thailand, Uruguay, and the United Arab Emirates.

* The notice that stipulates that all passengers on international flights will enter our country only with a negative Covid-19 test which will be carried out up to 72 hours before their arrival.

* And the note for the Passenger Location Form (PLF), that is, the mandatory completion of the form at the electronic address https://travel.gov.gr/ by all passengers on international flights to Greece. It is also mandatory to fill out the PLF form for foreign flight passengers who are permanent residents of Greece and depart from Greek airports.

For all airline instructions extending through Thursday, January 7, 2021, exceptions to the pre-existing notam apply.
