In a statement, Turkey’s Foreign Ministry said that it hoped that the conditionality of the measures that the European Union intends to take and their postponement to the next European summit in Junethey will not lose the positive momentum.
The teleconference of EU leaders provided an opportunity to assess Turkey’s behavior up to June, with Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Charles Michel emphasizing the need for restraint from Ankara and avoid challenges in the eastern Mediterranean.
