The creator of one of the biggest hits of the 90s, the famous “Ι I like Move It Move It“, The famous American music producer and dj Erick morillo, was found dead, a few hours ago, at his home by the police, after an anonymous call he received.

Her sudden death, at the age of 49, came just a month after the allegations of sexual abuse of a woman, a case that was now in the hands of justice. On Friday, in fact, she was going to attend a hearing. The woman had complained that Erick Morillo sexually abused her at home last December after drugging her for the first time, accusations he denied.

Born in 1971 in New York and raised in Colombia, the word rhythm became synonymous with everyday life from an early age. When he was 11 years old, he returned to the United States and the neighborhoods of New Jersey where little by little he began to learn the secrets of house, the new musical genre of the time. Initially he worked as a DJ in several local clubs in one of which he met the Latin star El General making his first hits with him.

His battle with drugs

The internationally renowned DJ has been addicted to narcotics for many years. He had even revealed that he had to be hospitalized three times for the side effects created on his body by long-term use of substances. He had also confessed that the fact that he was no longer the best DJ on the world dance scene had deeply hurt his ego and led him to increase the amount of drugs he used.
