A 23-year-old soldier and a 16-year-old boy are charged with kidnapping and killing a 20-year-old captain, who was found buried in his snow. New Jersey earlier this month.
Private Jamaal Mellish and the 16-year-old, who has not been named by the authorities, are considered the two authors of the brutal murder of Colonel Hayden Harris, according to announcements from the local prosecutor’s office.
Harris was declared missing for military base from Fort Drum on December 18. A day later, firefighters discovered her body in a New Jersey forest area when they found blood and footprints in the fresh snow.
The dean suffered a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities immediately arrested Mellish. It is unknown at this time what he did to cause the injuries.
