Takis Koronaios is in treatment for a stroke

Who is Takis Koronaios?

In 1970 he became the first Greek basketball player to win a scholarship from an American (Mississippi) university.

After the end of her career she also became involved in coaching where she worked since the mid-90s in Alimos, Espero Kallithea, Maroussi, Papagou, Dafni, Milona and in the women’s teams of Panionios and Panathinaikos.

In February 2019, in the context of the celebrations for the centenary of the founding of the Panathinaikos basketball team, the Greens honored Koronaios on the sidelines of the match with Efes Pilsen for Euroleague.
