Three key changes the draft law of the Ministries of Education and Citizen Protection, relative to the admission of candidates to the Higher education.

First, the introduction of a minimum admission base for university departments, not with an absolute number (for example, 10), but defined by each section. Specifically, the admission base of each department will be derived, according to the bill, from a percentage (80% -120%) of the average performance of the candidates from each scientific field in the courses examined. The above will apply to the Panhellenic exams this year, 2021 .. Starting next year (Panhellenic exams 2022), the ministry also provides that departments can choose weighting factors for the courses examined.

THE second change refers to the limitation of the number of computing options and their completion in two phases. This change, which is also planned -finally- for the next Panhellenic Games (2022) introduces 2 phases of computer completion. In Phase A, candidates will be able to complete a certain number of computer science courses. The number will come from 10% of the total departments for GEL and 20% for ΕΠΑΛ. In phase B, those who have not been admitted in the first phase will participate, without restriction of options and for the positions of the rest of the universities.

At the same time, there will be a computer program for admission to the public IEK, based on the diploma, which will be valid as of this year.

In third place, is inserted study time limit. For 4-year study programs, the limit will be n + 2. For study programs lasting more than 4 years, it will be n + 3. Changes will apply to new students, while there will be exceptions (work reasons , serious health problems, etc.).
